The data we collect
If you contact us — through the enquiry form, by phone, email or WhatsApp — we collect the details you give us: your name, your contact details (email and/or phone number) and the content of your message. Because we are a hair-loss clinic, your message may include information about your health. We treat any such information as special-category data and handle it with extra care.
When you use the website, our hosting provider processes limited technical data needed to serve the pages securely (for example your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you visit). Only with your consent does our analytics tool process similar usage data — see ‘Cookies and analytics’ below.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
We use your data only for the following purposes:
- To answer your enquiry and arrange a free consultation — legal basis: taking steps at your request before any treatment, and our legitimate interest in responding to you. Where your message contains health information, we also rely on your explicit consent and on the provision of health care (UK GDPR Articles 6 and 9).
- To operate, secure and maintain the website — our legitimate interest.
- To measure and improve how the site is used (analytics) — only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Cookies and analytics
The website works without any non-essential cookies. Only if you accept the cookie banner do we load analytics — Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics (GA4) — which help us see how visitors use the site (for example which pages are read and where people get stuck) so we can improve it. Clarity is provided by Microsoft and Google Analytics by Google; each sets its own cookies and processes the data under its own privacy terms.
You can accept or decline analytics at any time via the cookie banner. To change your choice later, clear the site’s stored ‘cookie-consent’ preference in your browser and the banner will appear again.
We load display fonts from Google Fonts so the site renders correctly. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Who we share your data with
We never sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the clinic and this website, and only as far as needed — for example our website host, Microsoft (for Clarity, if you consent), Google (for Google Analytics, if you consent) and the messaging provider if you choose to contact us on WhatsApp. These providers act on our instructions under appropriate safeguards. Where a provider processes data outside the UK/EEA, appropriate transfer safeguards apply.
How long we keep your data
We keep enquiry and consultation information only for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected and to meet our professional, medical-records and legal obligations, after which it is securely deleted. Analytics data is retained for the period set by the analytics provider.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- access a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected or incomplete data completed;
- have your data deleted, or restrict or object to how we use it;
- receive your data in a portable form (data portability);
- withdraw your consent to analytics at any time — this does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.
